On January 4, 2010, Muzzin signed a three - year entry-level contract with the Los Angeles Kings as a free agent. Muzzin and the Kings agreed on a new two-year contract extension on July 12, 2013.
Muzzin started as a third-line pairing at the start of the 2013 14 seasons and was a healthy scratch for a series of games. He continued to develop quickly, however, and after being paired with defensive star Drew Doughty, he continued to gain more time in the top defensive pairing.
