The Countries with the Best And Worst Lovers

It's one of the world's most hotly debated questions: which nationality really is the best in bed? Are the answers different for women than for men? Are some nationalities more compatible with one another in the sack than others?

To determine the answer, online dating site saucydates.com surveyed 22,753 of their members, and came up with the following results:

According to the survey, the best male lovers are from Australia, South Africa, and the U.S., whereas the best female lovers are from Canada, France, Italy, and the United States.

Now, granted, since this dating website is American, we have to take the results with a grain of salt, as most of its users are probably Americans who have slept predominantly with other Americans. It's also probably why Americans were determined to be most sexually compatible with other Americans. But, hey, we'll take it!

Some of the other interesting findings of the survey was that men and women were equally harsh in giving each other a "0" rating for "worst lover ever," but women were more likely to give their male partners a "10" for "best lover ever." On average, the women seemed more satisfied with their sexual partners, dolling out a fair few "8"s for "very good" where most men only gave their partners a "7" for "good." Does that mean that American women get more sexual satisfaction from doing the dirty than their male counterparts, or just that they're more generous judges?

Just for the sake of comparison (and, you know, "science"), the love and dating site YourTango did a similar survey last winter on how men all over the world fared in bed, and their results were pretty different.

On the top 10 list for the "best lovers" were Spain, Brazil, Italy, France, Ireland, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Denmark, Canada. Whereas the "worst lovers" list was topped by Germans for being "too smelly," the English for being "too lazy," Swedes for being "too quick," and the Danish for being "too dominating."

Sadly, Americans made it to number 5 for being "too rough." A few others that made the cut were the Greeks ("too lovey dovey"), the Welsh ("too selfish"), Scots ("too loud"), Turkish guys ("too sweaty"), and Russians ("too hairy").

Well, if nothing else, at least we've learned a little bit about what women don't want in bed.
